What Do We spend the Money On?

ALL the money raised goes via the Rotary Club and the Lions Club of Gananoque into supporting community activities and requirements. 100%.

And with such a terrific event, the Rotary and Lions Clubs are fortunate to be able to really help make a difference in the lives of many Gananoque and Leeds & 1000 Islands Township residents.

1000 Islands Family Ribfest is our largest fundraiser. All of the funds generated from this free-event support our community.

The Ribfest raises money in four main ways

The ribbers and vendors pay to participate
Sponsorship money raised from local community businesses and individuals
On site donations
The sale of drinks at the event

The Rotary Club of Gananoque

The club is made up of men and women of integrity who represent diverse backgrounds. It is one of more than 31,000 Rotary Clubs in 166 countries.

Our motto is “Service Above Self” which exemplifies our humanitarian spirit. The Club meets every Tuesday at 12:15 at the Curling Club in Gananoque and we’d love to have you join us for lunch!

The Lions Club of Gananoque

The club is an International one and our division was Chartered in May 1939. It is made up of both men and women and worldwide we have 1.35 million members in 206 countries.

Our motto is “ We Serve”. The Club meets every other 1st & 3rd Thursday at Gananoque Curling Club, September to June and Lions have more fun!
